A Thousand Flashes

I've always loved flash fiction. I got taught of the term by stumbling upon the awesome speculative flash fiction website, 365tomorrows and ever since then I've been in love with the genre. Even though unsuccessful, I even got into trying to write cellphone novels, another great genre of brevity and face paced developed plots.

I do write a lot. I have written short stories and even a couple of novels, but I have written not nearly close to what I wish I had written. Every single project, no matter how grand or how invested I am in them always seems to peter out, lose steam, and I just never finish them.

With Flash Fictions, I have no choice in the matter. Indeed, because I'm so honest about my limitations I find myself honestly concluding a lot of storylines the best way I could in as few words as possible, and while they would never compare to fully fleshed out works of fiction, I am fine with them.

As a comprimise, I have decided one thing, however:

I will write 1,000 Flash Fictions, and compile them all into a singular work. This blog will be my collection of all these stories and ideas.

If any of them tickle your fancy, then my job here is done. Unless otherwise stated, do with them as you wish! Rewrite them, share them, recraft them, steal them (smartly, of course, as any good artist should do.)
