Green Kimono

The Man in The Green Kimono went around collecting swords, and nobody could stop him. It is said that after he cut down the emperor, he proceeded to go around the castle and collect all the other swords in the vicinity, alternatively cutting down any who stood in his way or simply disarming the people where they stood.

It took a lot longer than it should've at first. There were times when he put away his sword to pick up every blade he won, times when he went to the nearest smithery, hole or lake to toss away the blades, but eventually, after a thousand men died trying to forcefully stop him on his quest he gained a few followers who seemed to believe in his policy.

"The time of the swordsman is over." He said, when they asked him. He didn't say anymore.

Ten long years later, after snapping his own blade between his knees he retired to his hut, and the world had actually moved on from the whole sensation.

The emperor had changed, technology had increased and the country was too busy fighting wars with guns and canons to care about swords.

Those who knew of his legend wondered if it had been a prophecy, or simple knowledge at of the times that were coming. Some lost respect for The Man in The Green Kimono. A lot more forgot him, let alone his name.

He didn't seem to care. He spent the rest of his life in recluse in the mountains, enjoying quiet walks, poetry and herbal tea.
