0021: Time Thief
His was a larceny that was subtle as it was cruel, if people knew what he did. A few of the other gods dissaproved of him, particularly those who dealt with Romance and Sin and Guilt, but he was so minor, so fleeting that not even Hermes could hope to catch up to him, and there were greater things to worry about, and he didn't hurt anyone, per se.
After all, they didn't know what they'd lost.
He was a thief of time. While others stole life force and fed on blood or energies of humans, he stole the
moments that nobody missed, the moments peoples' thoughts wandered or
daydreamed. He stole precious moments too, sometimes, when he saw they were focused on other things. On their work, on their worries, on their other happy moments. People forgot the best days of their lives, the most mundane but important moments of their romances with their spouses, the moments where they realized they wanted to change, to stop hurting their loved ones, to stop smoking, to stop drinking. He siphoned off and collected all of these instances in his infinite time battery.
He was a thief of unnoticed moments, of seconds spent waiting for things to happen. Procrastinators were his favourite victims. None of them even knew what they'd lost, and when all was said and done, they hadn't fought hard enough to remember them at all.
